Stacks of free passes to local venues are ready and waiting for West Dallas teens. 

Our Dr. L.G. Pinkston High School summer intern, Christian Williams, has the details on the Teen All-Access Pass in his recent Dallas Free Press piece. The City of Dallas is offering the pass for the third consecutive year to 13- through 17-year-olds who bring a parent with them to their neighborhood rec center.

We found 40 passes remaining during our visit to the Anita Martinez rec center this afternoon, and another 50 at Nash-Davis. (We ran out of time to drop by Jaycee Zaragoza, which also was stocked with passes on June 30.)

Some passes, like those to the Perot Museum, expire tomorrow on July 31. But most of the passes last at least until Dallas ISD's start of school Aug. 12. (Plus, places like the Dallas Arboretum offer free passes at Dallas' rec centers on a regular basis, and the Trinity River Audubon Center is free the entire month of August.) 

As temperatures rise into the 100s, there's still a few more days to find places to cool off.
